Plots
The purchase of a plot grants the purchaser exclusive interment rights for that plot.
Plots can be obtained on either a pre-need or an at-need basis. Plots purchased on an at-need basis are required to be paid in full. Plots purchased on a pre-need basis can either be paid for in full or by monthly payments made over the course of one year. When choosing the latter method of payment, a minimum deposit of 25% is required. Plots that have an outstanding balance beyond a year from selection are subject to forfeiture and resale to another party. A full refund of the deposit paid-to-date will be given. Once full payment has been made for a plot, the purchaser is mailed a Certificate of Interment Rights. Interment Rights for plots cannot be sold to any party except the cemetery at the original purchase price. Likewise, interment rights cannot be transferred to a third party. In the event that the owner of internment rights for a plot wishes to bestow those rights to a next of kin, the original Certificate must be returned to the cemetery and a new Certificate must be issued. Any existing monument must be moved at the owner’s expense.
Openings
Note: Burial by permit only – no pets. In the event that an opening is needed, the cemetery requires a minimum of 48 hours notice once arrangements have been made with a funeral director. Any outstanding balance owed for a plot must be paid-in-full prior to opening. All openings are to be executed by cemetery personnel. A vault is required for all interments, with the exception of cremations and infant interments. All vaults must be an appropriate rigid receptacle made of metal, fiberglass or concrete. The cemetery allows the interment of 2 individual cremations per plot. A single vessel of cremations is allowed following or in conjunction with the interment of corporeal remains. Once cremations have been interred in a vacant plot, a subsequent interment of corporeal remains is not permitted. The cemetery allows a maximum of 20 floral arrangements to remain following the gravesite service.
Monuments
Until a permanent monument is installed, all graves are to be marked at the time of burial with a temporary marker supplied by the funeral home. All monument designs must be approved by the cemetery manager and are not to exceed the following dimensions:
2 or more plots – vertical die (no monoliths) base – 4’ x 1’2” x 8” die – 3’ x 8” x 2’4” |
1 plot – vertical die (no monoliths)
base – 2’6” x 1’ x 8”die – 2’ x 8” x 2’4” |
2 or more plots – slant marker, no base 3’2” x 1’2” x 1’4” |
1 plot – slant marker, no base 2’ x 1’ x 1’4” |
Flat Marker – 2’ x 1’ | Infant Graves – flat or slant marker, no base only 2’ x 1’ x 1’ (slant) 2’ x 1’ (flat) |
All monuments installed in the cemetery are to be composed of granite or marble. Veteran’s markers set at the foot of a plot can either be granite or bronze. Cameos of a subtle size bearing the image of the interred are allowed on the face of the monument. All monuments must be set on a foundation to be installed by cemetery personnel at a cost of $1.25 per square inch of the base of the monument. Foundations are installed en masse on a biannual basis every spring and autumn – on or before May 31st and November 30th. Orders for foundations received after installations are completed will be filled during the subsequent installation period. Accommodations for installation during the summer months will be made whenever possible. Veteran’s markers installed at the foot of marked graves are done at no charge.
Perpetual Care
The rules and regulations for perpetual care are posted at either entranceway of the cemetery and are as follows:
We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
It is blessed by the Church and dedicated to God as a place of worship, prayer and reflection upon divine truth and the purpose of life. It is a resting place until the day of resurrection for the bodies of the faithful departed, once temples of the Holy Spirit, whose souls are now with God. It is a final and continuing profession of faith in God and of membership in the Church by those who have chosen to be buried with fellow believers of the ’The Household of the Faith’
“Eternal Rest Grant Unto Them O Lord.”
