St. Vincent De Paul Parish Pro-Life Ministries Mission Statement

St. Vincent's Pro-Life Ministries is committed to advancing recognition and care for the dignity of every human life at every stage. Through prayer, study, education and action, we address moral issues and clarify and support the teaching of the Catholic Church and Bishops. The attacks on LIFE from conception to death are rampant in our culture. The Lord is counting on us all to stand in commitment to every life at every stage, from conception to natural death. We encourage parishioners to participate as responsible Catholic citizens in private and public life, and to support works which defend human life and help to rebuild a Culture of Life.

    •  Pray For Life!

To help stop the anti-life push around the world, the late Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen encouraged the spiritual adoption of an unborn child.  This is done by praying that the one particular but unknown child’s life be spared abortion and be allowed to continue to live. To help accomplish this, it was recommended an individual say the following daily prayer for a period of nine months. Begin today!

“Jesus, Mary and Joseph, I love you very much. I beg you to spare the life of [baby’s name] the unborn baby that I have spiritually adopted who is in danger of abortion.”        - Prayer of Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen

      Prayer for All Human Life

God of infinite love, open wide our hearts and minds
that we might be worthy advocates for the voiceless and vulnerable.
Give us the courage of will to remain vigilant to the unborn.
The generosity of heart to offer support to the sick.
      T
he contast desire to be present to the elderly.
The abundance of love to be committed to the disabled.
The perseverane to seek and find the lost and forgotten.
Lord and Giver of life, in your love and mercy,
keep us safe in your care as we strive to offer comfort to others in your name.
May we always keep before us the challenge to reognize
the face of Jesus in all those we meet.
      Through Christ Our Lord, Amen.

-Reverend John G. Hillier, October 2013

      Cenacle Prayer of Offering:

Blessed mother our the Redeemer, redeem mankind through your eternal Son, Jesus, for He so died that we might live in Him. Please Mother, accept our spiritual offering of rosaries and fasts and give them to your Divine Son for us, to plead our case to the Father Almighty, that we may be spared our due judgement on this nation for killing the unborn, sick, elderly and unwanted. Please Mother, intercede to defeat this culture of death. Claim victory over all of your children's lives from conception until they are called home by the Father. Please Ever-Virgin, shed your graces upon our nation. Touch all people's hearts and recognize & defend the value of every human life created by God. Touch minds and hearts of the Presidents, Legislators, Justices, Governor, and people of this land that all may recognize and repent for the horror we have done to human life. Please, Advocate of God's children, bring your message to your Son and intercede in a mighty way, so that we may reverence and protect the unborn, elderly, sick and every human life in every condition. May God help us to restore a Culture of Life, and may His Glory be manifested here on earth, we pray through Christ Our Lord. Amen.

It is our duty to prefer the service of the poor to everything else and to offer such service as quickly as possible. If a needy person requires medicine or other help during prayer time, do whatever has to be done with peace of mind. Offer the deed to God as your prayer.... Charity is certainly greater than any rule. Moreover, all rules must lead to charity."-St. Vincent de Paul
