Donations will be accepted on Palm Sunday weekend, March 27/28th. We will accept frozen turkeys and hams in boxes with a few items such as beans, rice, canned vegetables and gravies. Dry goods only may be left in the Church meeting room after the Saturday Vigil Mass. Please place all the items in a cardboard box and bring it to the SVDP clock tower by 12 noon. We cannot accept food donations after noon.

Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are obligatory days of fasting and abstinence for Catholics. In addition, Fridays during Lent are obligatory days of abstinence. The norms on fasting are obligatory from age 18 until age 59. When fasting, a person is permitted to eat one full meal, as well as two smaller meals that together are not equal to a full meal. The norms concerning abstinence from meat are binding from age 14 onwards.
Palm which was blessed last Palm Sunday may be brought to the vestibule of the church by Monday, February 15th. It will be burned and prepared for use as ash on Ash Wednesday, February 17th. After that time blessed palm from last year may be buried or burned in order to be disposed of properly. Please do not return last year’s palm to the church after February 15th.
Donate to the Good Counsel Diaper Drive January 30 thru February 14 Please drop off diapers (all sizes) & baby wipes to the Church Meeting Room or place them in the Pack n’Play which will be located in the Church Narthex. New baby items also appreciated & accepted.
